Team Oria Agriculture
Our European team is made up of people who have a passion for farming and a strong network in the agriculture industry, therefore giving Oria and our suppliers broad reach throughout Europe. Our staff understand the needs of the farmer, the dealer, and the manufacturer of the product. Collectively, our staff are fluent in most major languages in Western European and can therefore serve customers in their local language.
Oria’s founders, Danea Armstrong and Bertrand Plessis, have a successful history establishing agricultural technologies into the European market. Their vision when they started the company in 2019 was to recreate that success with Oria Agriculture and the manufacturers they represent. Their history working with machinery OEMs and distributors gives them a comprehensive understanding of supplier and customer needs.

Danea Armstrong
Danea grew up on a broadacre family farm in Saskatchewan, Canada, and she maintains strong connections to that farm today. Most of her career has been dedicated to agriculture. Before founding Oria Agriculture, Danea served as the Vice President of Sales, Support, and Channel Development at Topcon Agriculture. Prior to that role, she was the President of NORAC Systems, a global leader in ultrasonic sensors and sprayer boom height control. During her time in the agriculture industry and while establishing Oria Agriculture, Danea, along with her husband Blake and their two children, spent four years living in Italy. This experience enriched her perspective on agriculture and innovation. Now, they reside in Saskatoon, Canada, within proximity to several of Oria’s key suppliers.
Bertrand Plessis
Bertrand's roots are in Normandy, France where his family farm still exists today. Throughout his career, he has held several key positions, including Export Manager for Berthoud Sprayers, General Manager of NORAC Systems Europe—a global leader in ultrasonic sensors and sprayer boom height control—and, prior to his current venture, OEM Business Development Manager for Topcon Agriculture. With a deep passion for business development and extensive knowledge of agriculture, Bertrand is fluent in four languages and possesses a strong network of contacts within the European agricultural community. Bertrand has two daughters and lives with his wife, Pilou in southern France.
