Combine Header Height Control - Corn

Headsight®’s patented design gives you the best header height control on the market. The system provides both height and tilt control, which keeps the header at the right height even in the most challenging conditions.

Details

Headsight offers 2 alternatives:

  1. Sensors alone: they will be connected to the original combine HHC with an interface harness. Benefits
    • Install sensors on headers that have none
    • Replace original sensors for better shaped ones
  2. Insight + Headsight sensors: maximize the performance of the header

The Headsight Advantage

  • Increases harvestable yield
  • Reduces down time
  • Decreases fatigue
  • Maximizes efficiency
  • Easy to install
  • Installs on most popular combine and header models
  • Accommodates corn and a wide variety of grain applications (using different sensors)

Features & Benefits

Patented corn sensor skid shape

The patented corn sensor skid shape brings the point of contact to the ground closer to the tip as the snout gets closer to the ground. It feels the bumps earlier and have the HHC react early enough to avoid collision. The corn sensor is at the very tip of the snout, further forward than the original sensors.

Reversing safety

if the driver reverses during harvest before lifting the header, the sensor can double back thanks to the patented spring system.

Wear Free

The electric sensor is wear free as it has zero mechanical contact as it is inductive.

Controllers

Insight ® is a stand alone controller that surpasses OEM header height performance by adding features and advanced settings with an interface controller mounted at the back of the head. The Insight® controller increases the maximum number of analog height sensors to 5 and offers advanced height control. Additional precision performance controls like Foresight® and Feathersight® are optional features available with Insight.

Options

Foresight® for corn headers

Used for better performance with corn headers. The sensors are mounted in the tip of the snout and measure the vertical distance between their mounting location and the ground. This gives the combine an early warning of changes in the ground surface. Foresight detects when the snout tips touch the ground (by using a calibration point), and magnifies the sensitivity below that point, giving the same (or better) header control responsiveness with the tips on the ground as off the ground.
